Joined FlyLady

Just before the New Year I joined FlyLady. I had visited the website before but did not join -or joined but dropped out and don't remember it!-. Anyway, this time I opened the e-mail (for the first time, today) and among a few links I found this useful and concise information:

New habit for January is Shine Your Sink (I can do that)

Today's Reminders:

* Morning Routine:
-Get Dressed to Shoes including Hair/Face, Brush Teeth (tick)
- Make Bed
-Swish & Swipe
-Empty Dishwasher (tick)
-Reboot Laundry (a Load a Day Keeps CHAOS Away)
-Check Your Calendar
-Check Your Control Journal

* What's For Dinner?
* Drink Your Water
* Declutter for 15 Minutes
* 15 Minutes of Loving Movement (exercise)

* Before Bed Routine:
-Lay out Your Clothes for tomorrow
-Check Your Calendar
-Put things needed for tomorrow at the Launch Pad
-Where are your Keys?
-Spend Two Minutes Clearing off a Hot Spot
-Shine Your Sink
- Wash face/Brush Teeth
-Go to Bed at a Decent Hour

Daily Focus - Wednesday

Each and every Wednesday is Anti-Procrastination Day for FlyLady. This is a day that we take care of things we've been putting off. You can use this day to take care of any procrastinating you've done. You can do things like:

Make doctors appointments
Finish that report for work (I have finished two reports this week, I do have one left, so yes, I am going to do that today)
Work on a project with your child
Clean the fish tank

You can do whatever you need to take care. This is the day to stop putting things off.

"Procrastination is the death of us, our relationships, and our peace!" ~ FlyLady

One thing I have found is that I do more things in a day and get more satisfaction out of what I do when I have a plan. I do have a general idea of what needs to be done both at home and work, but it would be nice to allocate some time to each activity so that things do not get left out and more pleasurable activities fit in. As a chronic procrastinator I am not saying I am going to adopt everything at once, but I am ready to take baby steps in that direction, and FlyLady gives me a nice push.
