Thankful Thursday, hosted by Iris and Crystal in the past couple of weeks, has been a great help to me. When Thursday approaches, I am filled with gratitude, waiting to express my thankfulness to God. We so much rush through life and its daily issues and have to's, we need to stop and look at our lives to realise what a great miracle our lives are.
As we are approaching the starting day for the Christmas fast, November 14th, St. Philip's, I was thinking of asking my children to post one thing each day that they are thankful for. I was thinking of having a tree branch decorated with their bits of paper. So imagine my surprise when I came accross a post over at Karen's about a being thankful challenge!
Leah at South Breeze Farm hosts a challenge during the month of November. Here is how she describes her inspiration:
Before I start adding to my wish list, I need to work on developing a more thankful heart for the things I already have (...) to develop a more thankful heart.
(...)It's never too late to acknowledge God's love for you and His faithfulness to you!
I humbly agree and joining in! We do not need to elaborate. Just a sentence, or a word to remind us daily of Let us share our thankful hearts.
"Let my prayer be directed as incense in thy sight;the lifting up of my hands as evening sacrifice". Psalm 140:20
