I bet it is just like this everywhere in Greece right now. It is so quiet outside, as if it were the night before Christmas. Apart of course from Athens where thousands of
Italian and
British fans have gathered for the
UEFA Champions League final. Cafes and tavernas are full of people, mostly men, seating in front of
giga screens showing the game that is due to start in awhile, sipping beer and eating
mezedes, that's little bits of finger food. It doesn't matter that none of the Greek
football teams made it to the finals, as long as it is a good, exciting game.

Update: Milan-Liverpool: 2-1. At the end of the game, Milan's
Kakka took off his blouse and we could see his t-shirt sporting the phrase:
I belong to Jesus.

Veteran captain Paolo
Maldini of A.C. Milan lifts the Champions League trophy.

Sweet cup, sweet victory for the Italian club!
