It will travel to China for the August Olympics. You may read more and see pictures from the ceremony here. But first, it is crossing Greece, and passes through our city.
People line the streets.Boys and girls in traditional folk costumes either side of the main street.
Some early birds hold Chinese and Greek flags in their hands.
Chinese reporters broadcast to their far away land.
In fact, quite a few Chinese people walk around.
There was music, of course, a band waiting to play the national anthems of China and Greece, and the Olympic Hymn.
Finally, the last torch bearer appears.
The fire is lit.
The band plays the national anthems and the Olympic Hymn. Immortal spirit of antiquity,
Father of the true, beautiful and good,
Descend, appear, shed over us thy light
Upon this ground and under this sky
Which has first witnessed thy imperishable fame.
Give life and animation to those noble games!
Throw wreaths of fadeless flowers to the victors
In the race and in strife!
Create in our breasts, hearts of steel!
In thy light, plains, mountains and seas
Shine in a roseate hue and form a vast temple
To which all nations throng to adore thee,
Oh immortal spirit of antiquity.
There is some speaking on the ancient traditions of both Greece and China, by the Greek mayor and the Beijing Olympic Committee representative.
Followed by Greek dancing.
The next day, it was time for the flame to move on. 
To another Greek city, to another far away land...
