Thankful Thursday-Rejoice

“Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!” ~ Psalm 32:10-11

I am thankful for...
My family.
Our work.
Our home.
Summer.
Our friends G and R who are coming over in July with their daughter. G is among C's best friends and R is such fun! We haven't met since their daughter's christening, some three years ago.
Our friend T who came from Boston last night, bringing all the news from the Greek community there and his always vivid and always critic reports of American life.
Our son's graduation from kindergarten fete. He was so serious looking!
C's cousins K and L who came to the fete and then had dinner with us.
Dinner at a lovely restaurant under a magnolia tree with good friends (K, L and T) till midnight.
Dark chocolate ice-cream at 2 a.m.
The book of Father Timothy Ware The Inner Kingdom: The Collected Works, especially the chapter on inner quiet. He is the person I think of when I think "peace" and "Christian".
Chrysanthemums in the vase on my table.
The smell of freshly baked bread and pastries when we get out the door in the morning.
The hand that God is offering me, quietly, slowly, peacefully.
Our children who remind me to slow down and be humble.
C who puts up with my blogging.
Blogging and my blogging friends.
Iris for reminding me to remember to be thankful.

Congratulations to your son's graduation. How neat that you had a get-together with friends.
I love it when the house smells with backed goods. Right now it is too hot to bake here though *sigh*.

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Be blessed today and always.
