There is a general enthusiasm around the Blogoland about Halloween, pumpkins and wiches. We do not celebrate Halloween at home. However, F gets to wear her favorite T-shirt with a cute little witch. And we do have our own resident witch.
She is a benevolent lady that we picked along with her globe, during our summer holidays in Corfu, two years ago. We were driving in the meandering streets of the mountainous center of the island when we came accross a picturesque village named Pelekas. And there, at the edge of the village there was a shop called "Witches Home". The girls were thrilled and curious, so we pulled over and walked in. It was a funny little place with lots of cute stuff.
When it came to choosing something to take with us, we decided to buy something handmade from the two young women who owned the shop. We searched among the pumpkins and the witches and our eyes stopped at this smiling, happy witch. So, we took her home.
She now sits on a chest of drawers in the corridor between the kitchen and the living room. She reminds us of our holiday an puts a smile on our face as we pass by.
